Dieses Kapitel beschreibt alle Bibliotheksfunktionen mit Ausnahme der
Funktionen, die in Kapitel 2 (Systemaufrufe) erläutert werden.
Verschiedene Gruppen von Funktionen können anhand eines Buchstabens
hinter der Kapitelnummer identifiziert werden:
.IP (3C)
Diese Funktionen, die aus Kapitel 2 und die von Kapitel 3S sind in der
Standard C Bibliothek libc enthalten.  Diese wird von

automatisch benutzt.
.IP (3S)
Diese Funktionen sind Teil der
.BR stdio (3S)
Bibliothek.  Sie sind in der Standard-C-Bibliothek libc enthalten.
.IP (3M)
Diese Funktionen sind in der Arithmetik-Bibliothek libm enthalten.  Sie
werden automatisch vom
.BR f77 (1)
FORTRAN Compiler verwendet, jedoch nicht vom
.BR cc (1)
C Compiler, der dazu die Option
.I \-lm
benötigt.
.IP (3F)
Diese Funktionen sind Teil der FORTRAN Bibliothek libF77.  Es werden
keine speziellen Compiler-Optionen benötigt, um diese Funktionen zu
benutzen.

Verschiedene spezielle Bibliotheken.  Die Handbuchseiten, die diese
Funktionen beschreiben, geben den Bibliotheksnamen an.
