<headline>New Version 1.0.4</headline>

<p>The new version 1.0.4 of dbview has been released today.  This does
not mark ten years of development but only small improvements.
Fortunately, the dBase III/IV format is stable not much has to be done
with this package and hence only little development is required.</p>

<p>However, this release comprises several improvements and new
features:</p>

<ul>
<li> Support for deleted records via <code>--deleted|-D</code>
<li> Improved handling of differences between dBase III and dBase III+ files
<li> Improved error handling
</ul>

<p>Deleted records will be marked in the browse output with the delete
flag field itself.  In the record based output a special Delete field
will be added to the list of fields per record if the record is marked
deleted in the database file.</p>
